Components of a Balanced Fitness Program

 Body Composition

An integral part of determining  level of fitness is measuring your percentage of body fat!  When considering a fitness program, accurately assessing the body fat percentage is the most important measurement you can take. Exercise can help decrease your overall body fat and increase your muscle mass. This will help you to shape your body and lose unwanted weight.

Strength Training

Proper strength training has numerous benefits, including developing muscular strength and muscular endurance, increasing muscle mass, improving bone mineral density and increasing  the level of strength in connective tissues. Strength training is an effective means for increasing our physical capacity, improving our athletic performance, reducing our injury risk, enhancing our personal appearance, and improving our self-confidence.

 Cardio Exercise

Aerobic exercise conditions the heart and lungs by increasing the oxygen available to the body and by enabling the heart to use oxygen more efficiently.  Other benefits include body fat reduction, increased resistance to fatigue, extra energy, increased stamina, and decreased tension.

Flexibility Training

Flexibility is a joint's ability to move through a full range of motion. Increased flexibility helps to increase blood supply and nutrients to your joints, decreases muscle soreness and improve balance and posture. Stretching also reduces the risk of low back pain.
